SLA's Annual Silent Auction, Rocket to the Stars, will be held on March 8, 2013 at Girard College.  Purchase your advance "tickets" and Sponsorships to the Auction! If you purchase your tickets in advance of the Auction, you will receive $5 in raffle bucks and save $5 from the "at the door" price. You can also sponsor a teacher so that they can attend the auction. Help Close the Gap in SLA's 2012-2013 Budget

Based on what the School District has told Mr. Lehmann, SLA will have less funding in 2012-13 than this past year.  The Home & School Association wants to raise $40,000 under the Fuel the Rocket Campaign to help close this gap.  We are asking every family to contribute some amount to help reach this goal.

Closing the gap will enable SLA to:

• fund after school programs
• keep the building open to 6pm every day
• cover overtime for teachers and guards
• books, papers and supplies

March 23, 2012 is set for an adult-only evening of food and fun at the THIRD ANNUAL ROCKET TO THE STARS Silent Auction.  This year's event will be at the Chemical Heritage Foundation at 315 Chestnut Street in the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia.  It includes two drinks, appetizers, buffet dinner, coffee/tea and dessert. 

This fundraising event is Home & School's biggest of the year. Funds raised go toward school trips, sports equipment, fees for science fairs, field trips, SAT prep classes, and SAT applications, music programs, clubs, painting & repair of the school interiors, and supplies.
